Ooh, I love windy weather. But I can see how sustained winds like that can be a bother. Loved how you described it though, "screams through the trees". :o)
I had to fish my garbabe can from waaaaaay in the back or the property after one windstorm, I feel for you if this is an every day occurence!!!
I live in PA... we only get wind sometimes. Lately though, it has been nuts... I actually LIKE the wind, but I DON'T like that it often scares my daughter and causes her to not sleep very well...

Wow... and here I thought west Texas dust storms were evil! I will steer clear of Wyoming during this time of year from now on. ;) P.S. I love your site!
Have you tried putting a radio (playing softly) in Little Man's room while he sleeps?
Blogger comments suck. I'm getting halo scan.
I don't think I lived anywhere that wasn't windy. It really helps if you have a fireplace and nowhere to go.

I come from New Zealand where it blows continuously most of the year around. It often hits the levels of 70-80 kmph.
I grew to hate the wind. I now live in England where it rarely ever blows. I've been away from NZ for three years now and I still don't miss the wind. Don't think I ever will.
I feel your pain.

Sounds like you need an alter ego to deal with the wind and the stress. Check it out at Kick Shoe Kooy at cathykooy.typepad.com. It's the home of alter ego therapy--the last frontier for gutsy women.
Living in ND my whole life I can relate all to well. It not uncommon here to have winds and snow reduce visiblilty to nothing. Blizzard conditions become a fact of life when you live in a state this flat and this far north.

Hallo. I am posting as anonymous because I do not have a blogger account. I am an eighteen-year-old aspiring knitter, which is only important because I somehow made it from livejournal's knitting community to your blog. (No, I'm not sure how either.) And! I am also from Wyoming. I always feel terribly excited when I "meet" another Wyomingite on the internet... it seems so rare! Of course, now I am horribly curious.. what area do you live in? If you don't mind sharing with the Random Anonymous Girl, of course.
Oh, yeah, I like your blog.
Former Wyoming resident for 13 years. I lived in Gillette... and Yes.. I remember rain and all that good stuff, Spring of 84 was the worst...
I miss real snow.. lol.
