He's been gone two days.
Yesterday, my hard drive decided it's 2 months of life was long enough, and quit working.
Today, my lawn mower followed right along. (At least I was able to finish the front yard.)
Tomorrow, I think the kids and I will walk to the swimming pool rather than drive, just to be on the safe side.
