To kick off the
Christmas Thanksgiving season, I sat my kiddos around the table and made a big batch of hot cocoa mix. We usually do this once a year, and it lasts us all winter long. I'm going to share the recipe with you now, but please don't tell hubby I'm doing this. He thinks this is some secret recipe to be guarded at all costs, even though I have pointed it out on several websites. Now I know that the internet is a large place, but I know you can all keep a secret, right? It's quiet yummy - give it a try!
All you need is one large container of chocolate Quick, a 16 ounce jar of coffee creamer, enough dry milk to make 8 quarts, and 1 cup powdered sugar. Just mix all that up in a large bowl. (A whisk works good for this) and store it in an air-tight container. To enjoy, mix about 1/3 cup cocoa mix with about 8 ounces of hot water. Also great with marshmellows, or we like to stir with a candy cane at Christmas time.
